The minimum age at every house on HUSH

There is no single answer — it is set by each property, and it is usually 16, 18 or 21. Of the 276 houses listed on HUSH, 275 set it at 18 and 1 at 21. The table on this page gives the number for each one and links to where the house publishes it.

Some do. A house with a minimum age of 16 is still sold as adults-only, and a 16- or 17-year-old may stay there. HUSH lists no house with a floor below 18, which is why the number matters more than the phrase.

Each number is read from the house rules — the text a guest agrees to at check-in. For 157 of the 276 houses that text is on the hotel's own site, and the link in the third column goes to the page we read; for the rest it is the house rules filed on the property's booking profile, which is the same agreement in a different place. What we never use is the booking site's adults-only tick-box, because the hotel sets that itself. We also ask the booking system for a room with a child in it: a house with a real age floor refuses. The date in the last column is when we last checked.

Yes, and they do. When a house drops its floor below 18 or stops publishing an age at all, it is removed from HUSH and its page comes down rather than standing with a claim we can no longer make.
