A kilometre back from the sand, in the centre of Playa del Inglés, the horizontal build architect Lisandro Hernández Montes gave Sanom Beach Resort opens straight onto its own pool terrace — low walls, no obstructions, sky at every turn. It is an adults-only address, four rooms in total, each with its own terrace and a Nespresso machine on the counter. For the two of you who want the pool, the loungers, and a breakfast that runs until half past eleven, and nothing else on the calendar.
Every room opens onto a terrace, and every terrace opens onto the same low, open design — no high walls between you and the pool light, just the horizontal run of the building doing what it was built to do. Rooms come with a bathrobe and a Nespresso machine on the counter, minibar and safe on request, free Wi-Fi that needs no asking. Four rooms only, which is why the loungers around the pool are never full even at midday. Breakfast runs to eleven-thirty each morning in Il Giardino; by evening the same room turns over to à la carte dinners until nine. The terrace, the pool, the quiet — that's what you came for.

The pool is the centre of the resort: a broad, sun-filled basin edged in pale stone, ringed with grey loungers and white parasols and screened by tall palms and banana plants. Beyond it a raised sun terrace carries rows of sunbeds, curtained four-poster daybeds and a pair of jacuzzis, so a day can move from a swim to a long, shaded afternoon without leaving the grounds.
Many of the rooms sit right on the pool terrace, their sliding glass doors opening from the bedroom onto a private patch of terrace with a table and chairs and the water a few steps away. Inside they are simple and light, twin beds under a low headboard, a Nespresso machine and minibar, the pool framed in the doorway. At dusk the warm room lights and the lit terrace turn the same view quiet and private.

we did not like that there was not a sign on the outside of the property and the address was was incorrect and so we had quite some difficulty finding the resort, it did not help having baggage with us..
