H Hotel Arconte, Adults Only Rooms & prices

In Barcelona's Eixample, behind a geometric metal facade designed by GCA Architects, a central patio floods light down through every floor of Hotel Arconte. The building was completely renovated in 2024, and what stands now is four rooms, air kept deliberately free of scent, and a rooftop pool with a solarium looking out across a typical Eixample block. It is adults-only, kept for two people who want a city stay with nothing scheduled.

Every room here faces outward, by design, and every one is soundproofed — the site is specific about both. Lighting is yours to set, warmer or cooler, depending on the hour you're in. The air stays deliberately free of scent, so a room smells of nothing but itself. Four suites, which is why the rooftop pool and its solarium rarely feel shared. Below, a central patio does the opposite job of the metal facade outside it, pulling daylight down through the building's core so even the lower floors keep some of the Barcelona sky.

Hotel Arconte, Adults Only sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at booking.com, and read there on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

Warm oak rooms

Behind each door is the same easy idea, worked out in oak and soft light. The rooms are fully exterior and soundproofed, so the Eixample stays outside while you sleep on a Tréca de Paris mattress under a backlit headboard. Scene-control lighting and home automation let you dim the whole room to the time of day, and the larger Junior Suite and Privilege rooms step out onto a private terrace with a table for two and the rooftops of Barcelona beyond.

The morning table

Breakfast is laid out in the ground-floor lounge, a warm room of terracotta banquettes and slatted oak where the day begins slowly over seasonal, locally sourced produce. Arconte belongs to the ABaC Group, the small Barcelona family behind chef Jordi Cruz's Michelin kitchens, and that eye for the table carries through to the buffet of pastries, fruit and Spanish charcuterie set out each morning before the city wakes.

Very clean. We didn’t have hot water on one day, so hotel offered a free breakfast to compensate. Staff were very helpful.

Our tips

Breakfast in the open-air corner

There's a small outdoor corner set aside just for breakfast, reading and not much else — the site describes it as a place to disconnect, not pass through. Take a book instead of your phone.

Sunrise from the rooftop pool

The rooftop terrace holds a small pool and solarium with views over a typical Eixample block, and the site names two hours worth it: sunrise, and the charm of Barcelona's nights. Go up early, before anyone else does.

A quiet hour in the gym

It's compact by design: one high-performance spinning bike, a full set of dumbbells, and a multifunctional bench for strength and mobility work. Go before breakfast for the room to yourself.

Set the room's light by hand

Every room gives full control over the lighting, so you can choose warmer light for evening or something cooler to work by, whatever the hour calls for. It's paired with a quieter decision at the building level: the hotel also runs partly on its own solar power and reuses water where it can.
