Fira climbs the rim of Santorini's caldera, and Villa Irini keeps to three rooms near the top of it. A rooftop terrace, a small pool with loungers and umbrellas, and not much else to organise: breakfast is continental, and a concierge handles the tickets and the transfer from the airport if you want it. The house takes no guests under eighteen. For two people who want a short stay with the view and nothing scheduled.
Three rooms is the whole of Villa Irini, which is why the rooftop terrace rarely has anyone on it who isn't you. The pool downstairs is outdoor and seasonal, with sun loungers and umbrellas set out for whoever wants the water instead of the terrace. Breakfast is continental and included; a full-service spa is on site for the morning you decide not to leave the building at all. The concierge books the tours and the ferry tickets, and can arrange the airport pickup, for a surcharge, if you'd rather not deal with a taxi rank after a flight. Luggage storage is kept at the desk, parking is free, and the building takes wheelchairs.
Villa Irini Fira sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.
Three kinds of suite are cut into the rock, from the junior room for two to the split-level honeymoon suite with its own sitting area. All speak the same language: smooth whitewashed ceilings that curve overhead, built sofas dressed in blue-and-white cushions, ornate framed mirrors, and a private balcony where an outdoor tub faces the sea. Air conditioning, a safe and a small fridge keep the practical side quietly out of view.
The house cascades down the rim of the caldera, its whitewashed terraces stepping toward the drop where the cliff meets the water far below. From the sun deck the eye travels across the drowned volcano and the passing ships to the outer islands, and each evening the whole bowl of the caldera turns to gold. A seasonal pool and a scattering of loungers make the most of the position.

Asking the house for its rooms…
What can I say, the hotel was perched on the cliffs of Fira, the views from our veranda were picturesque. Room was spacious and beautifully appointed and the free breakfast was substantial. The staff ... phenomenal -...
Gorgeous view of the ocean from the room. Super nice and extremely helpful staff, and great breakfast.
Could not give this hotel enough praise, staff and accommodation, food and emenities excellent. Can't wait to be back. Fantastic!
Pretty interesting set up. Rooms are carved in the mountain. Pretty views on caldera. Bed was comfy. Linens were changed everyday. Fridge full of drinks and wine, for additional cost. Overall it was good experience.

Three rooms share it, so it rarely feels crowded. Go up in the early evening before the pool loungers empty out, or book the spa for the hour you'd otherwise spend deciding what to do next.
It comes with the room and is taken on site, so there is no need to plan a first stop in Fira before you have had coffee.
Airport pickup is available for a surcharge, arranged through the concierge along with tours and ferry tickets — useful on an island where taxis at the port can be scarce.
