H Amora Ubud Villas Rooms & prices

The road into Ubud narrows toward Bukit Cinta, where the Wos Lanang and Wos Wadon rivers meet below a fold of green terraces. Amora Ubud Boutique Villas sits above that confluence, a small cluster of pool villas and nothing else, each one looking down into the valley. HUSH read the house rules: it takes no guests under eighteen. For two people who want the days unscheduled, with the Campuhan Ridge Walk starting a few steps from the gate.

Four villas, from the Romance Garden Pool Suite to the Romance River Pool Suite, which is why the plunge pool outside your door is yours alone. Wake to birdsong and a mist that sits over the valley until the sun burns it off, the green of Bukit Cinta filling the window. Rain, when it comes between November and March, tends to fall in short bursts and leaves the air fresher than before — reason enough to stay on the balcony with a book rather than wait it out indoors. Dinner can be ordered in and eaten by candlelight on the terrace, or you can walk down to Birdhill for a coffee with the valley in view. Amora calls itself Bali's Temple of Love, for the rivers meeting just below the terraces.

Amora Ubud Villas sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

The pool villas

Each villa is its own walled garden. A slim plunge pool runs the length of the terrace, edged by a daybed and a low table, with palms and flowering shrubs closing off the world beyond. Mornings begin with the water still and the valley waking; afternoons are for lying in the shade with the pool a single step away.

Sculpted in earth

The architecture is the reason to come. Curved, rust-coloured walls rise into open oculus skylights that frame a disc of moving sky, and arched passages lead from cool interiors out to the light. Every surface is hand-troweled earth, warm underfoot and soft to the eye, a modern reading of Balinese craft set into the hillside.

We originally had a four night stay scheduled for the Amora Villas in Ubud ... but extended it to a full week because we simply loved the hotel. Amora is at the end of the Sunset Trail - a picturesque 15 minute...

Great little resort located just outside of central Ubud. About a 10-15 min drive into town and the hotel arranges daily complimentary transfers there and back or you can take on the slightly hilly walk! Hotel also...

If you have been a couple of time in Bali, it is a good place to try, the design is a bit different. It is still under construction or have been recently handover (I was there beginning of April) You need a scooter...

Beautiful location with an amazing staff. The lobbyists were always friendly and eager to help provide information regarding the area.

Our tips

Dinner at Bulan Madu

Bulan Madu, the villas' semi fine dining room, sets a five-course dinner that leans on Balinese flavours with a Western hand, live acoustic guitar drifting in from the terrace. Ask for a table by the main pool instead of the dining room if you want the valley dark and quiet around you.

Walk the Campuhan Ridge

The trail starts a few steps from the gate and follows the ridge above the Wos rivers, the path Antonio Blanco once walked with Ni Ronji. Go before the heat sets in and you'll have the rice terraces mostly to yourselves, back in time for breakfast delivered to the villa.

Couple's ritual at Ratih Spa

A Balinese full-body massage runs into a flower-bath ritual, finished with herbal tea looking out over the valley. Book the early slot and the terrace is still cool.

Rain between November and March

The wet months bring short, hard bursts of rain rather than long grey days, and the air afterward is fresher over the valley. Stay on the balcony with the doors open, or time a dip in the plunge pool for exactly when it starts.
