H Maristel Hotel & Spa Rooms & prices

The road into Estellencs comes down off the Tramuntana ridge in switchbacks, sea somewhere below and mountain on the other side, until the village opens out and Maristel is waiting at the end of it. Seventeen rooms, adults only, set at the foot of a UNESCO World Heritage mountain range where the coast and the hills meet. For anyone who wants a few days measured out in nothing more than a swim and a sunset.

Maristel's site sells itself on two things: sunsets and the sea, both visible from the terrace and the garden that make up most of the ground floor. Indoors there's a heated indoor pool with its own solarium, a sauna, a hammam, and a bistro & bar for breakfast and the meals after it. Seventeen rooms only, which keeps the outdoor pool's loungers and the billiard table from ever being spoken for. The village of Estellencs is the one the hotel stands in, at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana — a UNESCO World Heritage stretch of coast the excursions run out into and back from the hotel's own door.

Maristel Hotel & Spa sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

The thermal circuit

Below the hotel lies an indoor heated pool with swan-neck jets, counter-current channels and bubble beds shaped for the lower back. Around it run a Finnish sauna, a Turkish steam bath and sensation showers, a full circuit meant to unknot the shoulders and slow the pulse. It is a quiet, low-lit room, and it is the reason many couples never leave the grounds until dinner.

At the table

The kitchen leans hard on the Mediterranean around it, building a tasting menu from local produce and pairing it with regional wine. You eat under warm pendant light indoors or out on the terrace as the valley darkens, unhurried, with the sea somewhere below in the dusk. It is cooking meant to be lingered over rather than photographed and forgotten.

Stunning view and lovely location in a beautiful idyllic town. As we were cycling or walking we had the pool area to ourselves during the day which was really lovely. Really nice pool area and good spa area. Room...

Our tips

Sauna, hammam, indoor pool

The indoor pool has its own solarium, and there's a sauna and a hammam besides — enough to fill a day when the hiking routes wait for tomorrow. Maristel also runs excursions that leave from and return to the hotel, and keeps a laundry service for cyclists and walkers, at extra cost, for the days you actually use the trail.

Dinner at the Bistro & Bar

Breakfast and the rest of the day's meals happen at Maristel's own bistro & bar. Take a table on the terrace afterward — that's where the hotel's sunsets and its sea views are, looking out toward the water below the Tramuntana ridge.

Swim at Cala Estellencs

One of the hotel's own excursions goes down to Cala Estellencs for a swim in the sea — the site's own suggestion, and reason enough to skip the pool that day. Ask the concierge which day it runs.

The village of Estellencs

Maristel stands in Estellencs itself — the village the hotel's own site calls picturesque, and the one the coast road usually skips on the way to somewhere busier. Walk out from the terrace and you're already there, no drive required.
