The lane out of Killarney narrows to a farm track above the River Flesk, meadows running down to the water on either side. At the end of it is Killarney Glamping at the Grove: a Suite, a Lodge and two Cabins, each standing apart in its own patch of the grounds. It takes no guests under eighteen, and no groups are taken at all, so whichever door is yours, the evening belongs to no one but you. For two people who want nothing scheduled beyond when the kettle goes on.
Inside, it's wood floor, shabby-chic furniture and an electric blanket in the Suite; a king bed and a wet-room shower in the Lodge; and, down in the lower meadow, two Cabins with an open-plan room and nothing at the window but grass and hill. Heating runs through all three, and every one has its own heated patio outside the door, plus a private kitchen or kitchenette stocked down to the napkins, so nobody has to leave for a stove. Three ways to stay, which is also why no other party's evening runs alongside yours. After dark, the only company is what wanders down to the Flesk below — otters some nights, a heron, a horse or two grazing the near field.
Killarney Glamping at the Grove, Suites and Lodges sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.
Inside, the glamping suites curve overhead in pale timber, a double bed set against a wood-panelled wall and a compact kitchenette lined up along the opposite side. The luxury lodges are larger and warmer still, with solid wood floors, central heating and a king-size bed, plus a proper self-catering kitchen for cooking in. Both are private, quiet and made for two, holding their warmth against the soft Kerry weather outside.
A short stroll from the rooms, a cedar barrel sauna sits out on a timber deck above the River Flesk, wrapped in trees and kept for guests alone. Its round window frames the moving water while you warm through; when the heat builds, the deck steps down toward a cold-water dip in the river itself. Booked privately for two, it is the kind of small ceremony that turns an ordinary evening here into a proper retreat.

The house lists these as things to do from here. Where a line is marked off-site it is not on the property — a dive site, a trail, a stable. That mark is ours, not theirs.
Board games are left out on the patio table, and the heater stays lit for as long as you want to sit under the stars. The Cabins go one better, with a rainforest shower and a heated towel rail to come back to.
Every kitchen or kitchenette comes stocked down to the tea bags, oil and napkins, with a BBQ at the Suite and Lodge (the Cabins swap it for a two-ring hob and a Nespresso machine). If you'd rather not cook, takeaways will deliver straight to the main gate.
The town centre is under a mile away — a twenty-minute walk, or about €8 by taxi — for its galleries, its ice-cream and, at the INEC, whatever act is passing through. Then it's twenty minutes back to a warm patio with nobody to disturb it.
The riverbank is a short stroll from your door, and the residents outnumber the guests: otters, pheasants, herons, a horse or two in the near meadow. Go at dusk and take a torch back.
