H Issimo Suites Rooms & prices

The road into Manuel Antonio ends at a tree line, and Issimo Suites sits inside it, jungle on one side, the Pacific on the other. A golf cart carries you the last stretch toward a beach with no name on the map. Four suites, each with a private jacuzzi and its own share of the sunset, make this an adults-only address — for two people who want the noise of howler monkeys instead of a lobby.

Inside, the suites keep to hardwood floors, stone worked into the jacuzzi surrounds, and windows that give up most of their space to the view — ocean on one line, jungle canopy on the other. Toucans and howler monkeys carry across from the trees most mornings, and there is no need for anything louder. Breakfast is included and eaten on a terrace above the pool, where the sea breeze does the work a fan would otherwise do. With four suites, the pool never has more than a handful of people in it at once. The restaurant, Terrazza, runs on recipes an Italian family brought over twenty-five years ago, and it is Francisco who is usually the first to greet you at the door.

Issimo Suites sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at issimosuitescr.com, and read there on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

Suites above the canopy

The thirteen suites are set to make the most of the hillside. Floor-to-ceiling windows pull the ocean and the rainforest indoors, hardwood floors run underfoot, and a private Jacuzzi waits within reach of the bed. Sunset arrives through the glass; after dark the forest turns loud with frogs while the sea keeps up its distant hush.

Where jungle meets ocean

The property stands where tropical forest meets the sea, and the wildlife treats it as home: sloths in the branches, iguanas on the paths, monkeys passing through at first light. Trails leave the grounds for hidden coves and a secret beach, and from the terrace the whole coast opens out in a slow curve of blue and green.

Our tips

The private jacuzzi at dusk

Every suite carries its own jacuzzi onto the balcony, set at tree-top level with the ocean beyond it. The sunset runs close to the same hour most of the year here, and the terrace catches the last of it before the rooms do.

Dinner at Terrazza

The kitchen works from a Mediterranean and Italian repertoire — seafood, pasta, lamb — brought over by the family that opened the restaurant twenty-five years ago. Ask for a table by the pool at sunset; lunch is lawn-chair casual, dinner leans toward candlelight and a glass of wine.

Playa Beisanz by golf cart

The hotel's own golf cart covers the first five minutes to the street entrance; from there it's a ten-minute walk, rated moderate, to Playa Beisanz. Back in time for a jacuzzi before dinner.

The trail to the cliff view

A path leaves straight from the grounds and winds toward beaches two and three, past sloths, butterflies and howler monkeys that use it daily. Between the two beaches there's a cliff with an open run of ocean, best kept for the last light of the day.
