H Morea Kaleiçi Rooms & prices

In the Selçuk quarter of Kaleiçi, Antalya's old walled town, a nineteenth-century Ottoman mansion finished a restoration in December 2025, done under the supervision of the city's Monuments Board and entered on the historic heritage list. Morea Kaleiçi is four rooms behind what were once two separate street doors — one for callers, one for the family. It takes no guests under eighteen. For anyone who wants Kaleiçi's lanes at the doorstep, not a taxi ride away.

The window frames are old work: joinery cut and fitted by the neighborhood's carpenters, shaped to let the light in gently rather than flood a room, and the rooms are asymmetric because no two were built for the same purpose. Each one carries its wood into the walls — floors, frames, doors — nothing added since the December restoration to compete with it. At the center is a courtyard, the kind Ottoman houses built to be closed off from the street entirely, reached from three separate points inside the building: a grand main entrance, a quieter side door, a private one at the back. Breakfast is an open buffet from a kitchen that holds a food-safety certificate. A mini pool sits in the garden — no children's pool, because there are no children here.

Morea Kaleiçi sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at moreakaleici.com, and read there on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

A restored konak

The house rises over a walled courtyard paved in pale stone, its whitewashed upper storey and iron-railed balconies looking down on citrus trees and a round, stone-rimmed planter. Tables are set out beneath the branches for the long Antalya mornings. This is an old-town konak brought back with care rather than gutted — the kind of building the lanes of Kaleiçi were named for.

Rooms in blue

Behind the shutters the rooms are calm and uncluttered, a palette of white linen and slate-blue velvet against pale walls and dark timber floors. Amber wall lamps throw a low light over painted iron bedsteads, and sheer curtains soften the daylight that comes off the courtyard and the surrounding roofs. Each room keeps a kettle and cups for the first coffee before the town wakes.

The accommodation was amazing, staff super friendly, the only thing that is out of control is that the area is very noisy! Loud music until around 4 am, that’s the only downside and it’s not the hotel’s fault unfortunately.

Our tips

The courtyard entered three ways

The house is built around an enclosed courtyard, sealed off from the street the way old Antalya houses were — reached through the main entrance, a side door, or a quieter one at the back. Try the one you have not used yet; a free buggy also covers getting around inside Kaleiçi's boundaries if you would rather not walk.

Breakfast off the buffet

The kitchen holds a food-safety certification and lays out an open buffet each morning, with a small in-house restaurant covering the rest of the day. There is no need to plan a separate breakfast out.

Kaleiçi's lokum and coffee shops

Carpet and kilim sellers, jewelry stalls, and shops selling Turkish delight and coffee sit within 200 to 300 metres of the door — the old quarter's shopping streets start almost as soon as you step outside.

The pool, in season

The mini pool in the garden runs seasonally and has no children's section, since the house takes no guests under eighteen. Outside pool months, the courtyard is the place to sit instead.
