H The Londoner Hotel Sliema Rooms & prices

Sliema's promenade runs flat along the water, past ice-cream kiosks and the ferry queue for Valletta, and a few steps back from it sits The Londoner Hotel Sliema. Inside: a front desk that runs around the clock, a lift to every floor, and a harbour view that does the work most photographs try to fake. It takes no guests under eighteen. For anyone who wants a city break with the sea two minutes away and nothing to book in advance.

The hotel stands back from Sliema's seafront, close enough that the promenade is under a minute's walk and the ferry to Valletta only a few more. There are twelve rooms split across a handful of categories, small enough that the front desk runs around the clock without ever feeling like a queue. Ask for the room that looks toward the harbour — Valletta sits lit up across the water in the evening. Tigné Point's shops are a short walk north, Spinola Bay and the nightlife of Paceville a few minutes on by taxi, and the promenade itself, with its ice-cream stalls and the ferry queue, is worth an evening before you decide on anything else.

The Londoner Hotel Sliema sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

Rooms above the water

From the Deluxe Sea View up through the Executive floors, the rooms are turned toward the harbour. Expansive corner windows frame the turquoise basin, the sailing boats at their moorings and the low ochre town along the far quay, so the view does most of the decorating. Curtains draw back to the light, a chair or two waits by the glass, and the balcony is a step away for a coffee taken slowly in the morning sun.

The top-floor suites

The higher categories are where the hotel spreads out. The Junior Suite and the fifteenth-floor Penthouse gather a sofa and a lounge into the sea-facing rooms, and the Penthouse steps onto a private terrace with a hot tub set against the panorama. Turn-down here can arrive with rose petals and a folded towel on the bed — a quiet nod to the couples the address is kept for, with the whole harbour laid out beyond the glass.

It was okay. Loved the sea side view. Bolt is always a minute away, central enough to move around

Great location, we was on the 12th floor and didn't heard any noise. Tbf the soundproofing was really good and the room was lovely. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly.

Our tips

Happy hour at the bar

The hotel keeps a happy hour at its own bar — ask at the desk when you check in for the hour, and take a seat facing the water while there's still light on it.

The Sliema Ferry to Valletta

The ferry stop is a short walk from the hotel, and a single crossing puts you across the harbour in Valletta, the same skyline you can see from Sliema's promenade. Go over for the afternoon and come back to the seafront for the evening.

Dinner in Spinola Bay

Spinola Bay's row of waterside restaurants is a short taxi ride into St Julian's, boats moored right along the tables. Eat there and come back to the hotel above the Sliema seafront.

Tigné Point for the shops

The shopping mall at Tigné Point is an easy walk north along the coast, useful for anything you forgot to pack. The promenade runs the whole way back to the hotel along the water.
