In the middle of Fira, Santorini's capital, where the shops and the view sit close together, five suites stand behind a plain door: Marquise Suites. Run by its owners, Ilias and Christina Damigos, it takes no guests under eighteen, and its rooms are painted in the volcano's own palette — black, grey, brown, red. For two people who want the whole of Fira within walking distance, and, in most suites, a hot tub to come back to.
Inside, the five suites keep to the same earth tones as the volcano outside — black, grey, brown, red — with Guy Laroche linen on the beds and cotton robes made specifically for the house. A Nespresso machine sits in every suite, restocked with capsules each day. Three of the four suite types — Premier, Deluxe, Executive — add a private outdoor hot tub on the balcony; the Superior Double keeps its spa tub indoors instead, off a ground-floor terrace of its own. Five rooms only, which is why the terraces rarely feel crowded. Free WiFi reaches every corner, a bottle of water appears daily, and the beach towels are yours to take down to Santorini's black or white sand. Ilias and Christina Damigos run the house themselves.
Marquise Suites sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at marquise-suites.com, and read there on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.
Inside, each suite is a study in soft grey microcement and pale oak, warmed by a scarlet chair or cushion and lit by slim black reading lamps. A compact bar corner holds a Nespresso machine and kettle, the bed is dressed in crisp white linen, and a smart television faces it from a panelled wall. Everything is close at hand in a room made to feel unhurried.
The pull of these suites is the water outside the door. Each terrace or balcony carries its own outdoor hot tub, screened for privacy yet open to the Santorini sky, with a bistro table and a couple of chairs alongside for a slow drink. From the higher tubs the view runs out over the town's white rooftops toward the distant sea, best at the end of a long island day.

The house lists these as things to do from here. Where a line is marked off-site it is not on the property — a dive site, a trail, a stable. That mark is ours, not theirs.
Ask for a Premier, Deluxe or Executive suite and the outdoor hot tub is yours alone, up on the balcony. The Superior Double trades it for a spa tub built into the bathroom instead, plus a terrace of its own on the ground floor.
The Nespresso machine is restocked with capsules every day, and a bottle of water is left with it each morning. There is no reason to be anywhere but the balcony before you decide to head into Fira.
The hotel sits in the middle of Fira, Santorini's capital, close enough that the shops, the tavernas and the rest of the town are on foot from the door. Free beach towels wait for the days you go down to the island's black or white sand instead.
The concierge arranges what is not on the amenities list itself — a cooking class, a dive, a horse ride into the hills, a hired car, or the transfer to and from the airport at either end of the stay.
