H Gran Hotel Flamingo Rooms & prices

The beach at Lloret de Mar is a hundred and fifty metres from the door, and so is the international bus station, so the road in barely counts as one. Balconies here look to the sea, the pool, or the rooftops of the old fishing town, and you choose which. Seven rooms, adults-only, in the middle of a place built for long lunches and no plans — the Gran Hotel Flamingo is for anyone who wants a week with nothing scheduled.

Rooms run to parquet floors and a plain, functional elegance, the kind that lets the balcony do the talking — sea on one side, pool or town on the other. Downstairs, Gammarus, the hotel's own restaurant and beach club at Canyelles cove, works in a wabi-sabi register: an outdoor terrace, a looser stretch of sand called the Platgeta, and a rooftop with a pool, day beds and a bar of its own. Seven rooms only, which keeps the pool from ever filling up. In the evening the Lobby Bar pours a glass of wine as the light goes, and the WiFi is free, which the hotel mentions mostly so you'll put the phone down sooner.

Gran Hotel Flamingo sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at granhotelflamingo.com, and read there on 20 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

The rooftop club

Avana occupies the seventh floor: two pools set into a broad timber deck, sunbeds along the water, teak stools drawn up to planted beds, and a bar strung with woven lanterns that warm up as the light goes. It is over-eighteens only and kept for guests in the superior and premium rooms, which is why it stays unhurried — a place to swim, eat off the short menu, and watch the hills behind Lloret turn pink.

Pale rooms, open doors

The renovated rooms read like a beach house pulled indoors: white board walls, a wooden fan turning overhead, wide sliding doors to a balcony, a bed left mostly white with one band of denim across it. Practical things are all there — minibar, safe, kettle for coffee and tea, flat screen, fast enough wifi to be forgotten — but the point of the room is the door you leave open.

Our tips

The Avana Rooftop, upstairs

Book a Doble Superior or a Premium room and the private Avana Rooftop comes with it — its own pool, day beds and bar, closed to guests in the standard Double. The Premium goes further still, with a super king bed and an extra-large double bath.

Dinner at Gammarus, Canyelles cove

The hotel's own restaurant and beach club sits down the coast at Canyelles, working a Mediterranean menu and cocktail list from a wide terrace above the cove. Take the more informal Platgeta if you'd rather have sand under the table than tile.

Barcelona, an hour up the coast

The hotel's own site clocks Barcelona at about an hour by road — the Sagrada Família, Montserrat, the FC Barcelona stadium, all in reach for a single day. Back by evening, the balcony and the sea view are still where you left them.

The La Roca Village shuttle

The hotel runs its own coach out to La Roca Village, the outlet mall, where national and international labels sell at up to 60 percent off year-round — no car required, and no need to change out of holiday clothes.
