The road to Ýpsos runs along Corfu's east coast, past the site where the old Club Mediterranée once stood, until it reaches the beach at Ipsos, and the house sits a hundred metres back from the sand. La Maison Corfu keeps a single room, so whoever books it has the address entirely to themselves. It takes no guests under eighteen. For two people who want the coast without hotel scale — a beach in walking distance, and nobody else's schedule to work around.
Ýpsos sits on Corfu's east coast, where the coast road runs between water and hills before climbing toward Korakiana and the village of Agios Markos, six hundred metres above the house. La Maison Corfu keeps just one room, so there is no shared corridor and no other party's breakfast to time around — the house belongs to whoever has booked it. Ipsos beach is a hundred metres from the door: sandy, shallow, scattered with pebbles, organised enough to run its own water-sports school, which gives guests here a reduced rate. The reception is run by locals who say that whatever they do not already know about the island, they will find out — ask before you plan the day.
La Maison Corfu sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at lamaisoncorfu.com, and read there on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.
A long pool runs the length of the garden, ringed by loungers and pale umbrellas and backed by the low white building. Around it the grounds are thick with olive trees, herbs and Mediterranean planting, much of it feeding the kitchen. Guests drift between the water and the shade through the slow middle of the day, with the hills rising quietly behind.
Behind each door the mood is calm and uncluttered: an oak headboard, white linen, a jute disc on a muted blue wall, a small desk and a hanging mirror. Sliding doors open to a private balcony set with a little table and two chairs, where breakfast or a cold drink comes with a view over the pool and the wooded hills beyond.

The house lists these as things to do from here. Where a line is marked off-site it is not on the property — a dive site, a trail, a stable. That mark is ours, not theirs.
The beach is a hundred metres from the door — sandy, shallow, scattered with pebbles — and the water-sports school there gives guests of the house a reduced rate.
The site's own advice is to walk the villages beyond Ýpsos: stop at a bakery if you pass one, take a seat at a coffee-shop, and let a local talk about the place. It calls this the most authentic way to see the Corfiot countryside.
The site calls it a hidden paradise: you leave the car and walk downhill to reach it, then the turquoise water opens up below. The climb back up is the price of having it mostly to yourself.
White pebbles, clear water, and beach bars strung along the sand — go before noon if you want a sunbed, the site says. Then back to Ipsos, where the beach begins a hundred metres from the door.
