H Abisena Wellness & Resort Ubud Rooms & prices

Abisena Wellness & Resort sits in Ubud, Indonesia, and holds itself to seven rooms, no more. It takes adults only, and if you take the Royal Suite you get two hundred square metres to spread out in: a sitting room, a kitchen of your own, and a private jacuzzi that nobody else uses. It suits two people who have nothing else booked for the week.

Each of the seven rooms follows the same idea: Ubud's own design tradition read through a plainer, more contemporary hand, so what is local shows without much clutter around it. Take the Royal Suite, the largest of them, and you get two hundred square metres — a sitting area, a kitchen, and a private jacuzzi — room enough that you are not living out of a suitcase for the stay. Housekeeping comes daily without your having to ask for it, and the garden gives you somewhere to sit between whatever else the day holds. Seven rooms is also why the front desk and the security team run around the clock: there is never much distance between you and either one.

Abisena Wellness & Resort Ubud sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at abisenaubud.com, and read there on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

The pool villas

Each suite and villa is its own walled world. The pool villas keep a private plunge pool set into a timber deck, fed by a carved spout and screened by banana leaf and palm, with a hammered copper tub and a shaded seat close by. Days here run between the water, the daybed and the jungle just beyond the rail, the valley waking green at first light and the pool a single step from the room.

The floating ritual

Wellness is the heart of Abisena, gathered under the name Dirasha. Its signature is a floating sound bath: guests lie back on a batik mattress on the water, eyes covered, while a therapist works bronze singing bowls and gongs until the tones move through the pool itself. Around it run couples' massages, herbal boreh scrubs, flower baths, sauna and steam room, and quiet yoga on the deck.

The location was stunning and the staff was the friendliest of any hotel I’ve been to. Everyone remembered out names and were extremely helpful in suggesting things to do in Ubud

Our tips

The Royal Suite's private jacuzzi

Ask for the Royal Suite if the room itself is part of the plan: two hundred square metres, a kitchen of your own, and a jacuzzi that stays yours for the stay, not shared with the rest of the resort. It sleeps two, and nothing about it needs a reservation elsewhere.

The in-house cooking class

Sign up for the cooking class instead of eating out every night. It runs from the resort's own kitchen, and it is one of the few times in the day that has a fixed point to it.

Fitness center and spa

Between the fitness center, the fitness classes and the spa locker rooms, a workout does not mean leaving the resort. Beauty services are booked in the same building, so you can move from exercise to a treatment without going anywhere else.

The garden between everything

The garden is the one space that is not a room or a class — somewhere to sit with nothing scheduled, between the spa and the next meal. With only seven rooms in the whole resort, it rarely feels like you are sharing it.
