The road to Lipa Noi runs along Koh Samui's south-west coast, and it's here, on a stretch of beachfront, that Samaraya Wellness Resort keeps just four villas, each with its own pool. Three wellness classes are folded into every day - yoga, Pilates, Qi Gong or Deep Release - alongside a heated pool built for Watsu therapy and guided floating. For anyone who wants their week built around slowing down rather than sightseeing.
Each of the four villas at Samaraya is built around its own private pool, tucked into planting that keeps the neighbours out of view. Days start with a choice of class - yoga, Pilates, Qi Gong or Deep Release - and move toward the heated therapeutic pool, where Watsu therapy is worked through warm water and Collective Floating asks for nothing but stillness. Meals come from RAYA, the resort's own restaurant, where the kitchen builds seasonal Thai and Mediterranean-inspired plates from organic herbs, local farm produce and seafood bought from small-scale coastal fishermen. With only four villas, the pool at your door is never shared.
Samaraya Wellness Resort sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.
Every villa here keeps its own pool. The water sits in a basin of sea-green Moroccan tile, edged by a teak deck with loungers and a hammock and walled for privacy beneath a sweeping palm-thatch roof. Sliding glass erases the line between the bedroom and the terrace, so a morning swim or a long afternoon in the shade never calls for leaving your own patch of garden.
A few paces past the villas, the resort's lawn gives way to soft sand and the warm, shallow Gulf. Rattan swing seats and cloth hammocks hang between the coconut palms, wicker loungers face the water, and the horizon stays unbroken all the way to the mainland hills. Because this is the island's west coast, the sunset arrives straight ahead, over the sea rather than behind you.
