H The Pelican Beach Resort & SPA Rooms & prices

The Pelican Beach Resort sits on the sand of the Gulf of Olbia, its rooms in two low buildings, looking out to the island of Tavolara across the water. You reach it along Via Mar Adriatico on Sardinia's northeast coast, where the road ends at the beach. It is adults-only, split into two kinds of room: the Pelican Villa close to the shoreline, and the Main Building set back with terraces over the same view. For anyone who wants a week with nothing scheduled but the light changing on the water.

In the Pelican Villa, doubles look onto either the sea or a flowering garden, furnished in the fabrics and colours the house calls elegant, at ground or first-floor level near the beach. In the Main Building, the rooms climb to a second floor, most no more than a hundred metres from the water, their balconies fitted with a small table and two chairs for the hour when the Gulf turns colour toward evening. The larger Comfort rooms add a separate sitting area for three. Twenty-two rooms in total, close enough together that the beach in front rarely feels crowded. The spa opens at eleven each morning and runs until seven, treatments and a wellness circuit built around the same view of Tavolara.

The Pelican Beach Resort & SPA sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at thepelicanbeachresort.it, and read there on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

The water's edge

The resort meets the sea across a manicured lawn set with white sunbeds and umbrellas, stepping down to a short strip of pale sand and the rock clusters that shelter it. The water is that shifting Costa Smeralda blue, clear enough to read the reef below, and Tavolara stands across the gulf like a stage set - close enough to sail to, far enough to leave you alone.

The sea-view rooms

In the Main Building the Comfort rooms give the best of the view: a balcony or terrace over the Gulf of Olbia, a table and chairs set for a slow breakfast, and interiors kept bright and contemporary in pale tones. Around thirty square metres with a sitting corner, they are made for two - the sea doing the decorating, everything else left deliberately quiet.

Our tips

The Essential Pelican SPA

Open every day from eleven in the morning until seven at night, the spa runs treatments and rituals for face and body, massages, manicures and pedicures, alongside a wellness circuit built into the same view of Tavolara. Ask at reception for the weekly or daily packages.

Dinner built on the island's produce

The restaurant's cooking follows a Mediterranean line built on ingredients from the island itself, treating older recipes and newer technique as one conversation rather than two. Ask at reception about the Food & Wine Experiences arranged around it, if you want the story behind what's on the plate.

Tavolara, across the water

The island fills the view from most of the rooms and balconies, and reception can book a boat crossing to it, along with other sea excursions, either before you arrive or once you're there. Back in the evening, the balcony and its two chairs are still facing the same water.
