Off a state road outside Logansport, past ponds and mowed lawn, a limestone house built in 1849 still faces the barn raised the same year. Six generations of one family have kept it since Julia Cappel took the farm over in 1888; Leslie, the current owner's daughter, will be the sixth. Inntiquity, A Country Inn takes no guests under eighteen. For two people who want a weekend with a fire pit, a lake view from the patio, and nothing else on the schedule.
Each room has its own bath — a few with a steam shower, one with a sit-in waterfall whirlpool — and its own patio facing the pond, plus a Smart TV, glasses, an ice bucket, and a down comforter for when the heater isn't enough. The Oak Room keeps its walls in Venetian plaster under oak crown molding; the Baroque Room, built for wheelchair access, has a parquet floor under a needlepoint rug and a gold-leafed mirror over the vanity. Twelve rooms is few enough that the communal fridge of sodas and sparkling water, the ice maker, and the microwave down the hall never feel crowded. George keeps the place; his daughter Leslie is learning to run it next.
Inntiquity, A Country Inn sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 24 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

The house lists these as things to do from here. Where a line is marked off-site it is not on the property — a dive site, a trail, a stable. That mark is ours, not theirs.
The inn keeps its own fishing poles by the water, and binoculars for whoever would rather watch the birds. After dark the fire pit is lit, and chess, dominoes and cards come out for the ones who'd rather stay in.
Give the kitchen twenty-four hours' notice and it will set a candlelit table with wine or champagne and a four-course meal. Beer and wine are available by request the rest of the week, and the communal fridge stays stocked with juices and sparkling water.
France Park is a short drive from the inn, with its own walking trails and a spot for a picnic — order the France Park picnic package and skip the packing. Back at the inn, the fire pit is still going for whoever wants to end the day by it.
The town keeps its old Denzel carousel running, along with antique shops and teashops worth an afternoon. It's close enough to loop back to the inn for the fridge of sodas and sparkling water before dinner.
