Where it hides
Riad Tizou stands in Dar El Bacha, the medina quarter around the palace-museum of the same name — the Dar El Bacha palace-museum is a short walk, with the Mouassine fountain and the souks to wander between.

Breakfast above the rooftops
The roof is the house's second room. Under a thatched shade, with the medina spread flat in every direction, the house cook lays breakfast each morning: freshly pressed juice, traditional bread, warm Moroccan crêpes, the slow first hour of a day that has nowhere urgent to be.
Come back up as the air cools and the same terrace does the evening shift — the fireplace in the dining corner is lit, and dinner is served beneath the lanterns.
