Eccleston Square sits five minutes on foot from Victoria Station, behind black railings that open onto a private garden most of London never sees. Number 37 is a Georgian townhouse from around 1835, Grade II listed, with four rooms and a front door that stays locked until a room key lets you through it. Eccleston Square Hotel takes no guests under eighteen — a quiet, residential square in Zone 1, for two people who want London without the traffic noise.
Behind Smartglass bathroom walls and powered curtains, the rooms keep to a short list: a Hästens bed, an Apple TV with a Sonos soundbar, and a window onto either the garden square or the London rooftops. Ask for one of the rooms that face the square and the traffic mostly stops at the glass — plane trees and clipped hedges standing between you and Belgravia. There are only four rooms, which is why the hotel can lock its own front door and let each guest in by bell or key card instead of running a lobby. The building itself is Grade II listed, put up around 1835 and restored over two years after an Anglo-French family bought it in 2010.
Eccleston Square Hotel sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 24 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

Asking the house for its rooms…
Beautiful hotel in a prime location, BUT the rooms are very small. We had a superior room as we hoped to have a decent sized room. There was not a lot of space for any sort of luggage.
The room was very clean and had a ton of smart technology
Friendly, quaint
Lovely boutique hotel, simple elegance and style, great mod cons, and super clean!

Guests get a key to Eccleston Square Garden itself — a tennis court, dappled shade under mature plane trees, and enough calm that the BBC once named it among London's best-kept squares. Go before breakfast, while it's still quiet.
Peggy Porschen and the TomTom coffee house are a few steps from the front door, and the Thomas Cubitt gastro pub is right there too for something more substantial. All three sit on the same short street the hotel backs onto.
Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Churchill's War Rooms are all within easy reach on foot, and Victoria's tube and rail lines are five minutes away if you'd rather ride. Back to the square by evening, past the plane trees again.
The West End's stage musicals — Hamilton, Wicked — are a short walk from the hotel. Take the early show and you're back on Eccleston Square within the hour, the square quiet outside your window.
