Between golden cliffs and centuries-old pines bent flat by the tramontana, a path off the Camí de Ronda drops to a nineteen-hundreds summer house rebuilt to face the water. Hotel Cala del Pi keeps this house as its private wing, in Platja d'Aro. Nine rooms in all, adults only, three of them panoramic suites with terraces that open straight onto the Mediterranean. For anyone who wants mornings with nothing scheduled but the walk down to the water.
The house is old, restored rather than replaced: a staircase climbs from a garden patio to the suites, past sofas set among Mediterranean shrubs and pine. Inside, the windows are the argument — open straight onto the sea, with rock and pine and little else in view. Downstairs there is a fireplace lounge, a billiard room, and Salluna, the cocktail bar with deep sofas, built for the hour after dinner. The pool spills between pines and rocks outside, lit by whatever light the Mediterranean sends it that day. Nine rooms in total, which keeps the pool and the terraces quiet even in season.
Hotel Cala del Pi - Adults Only sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, written at hotelcaladelpi.com, and read there on 11 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.
The hotel is stitched into the hillside above its own cala, the little pine-fringed inlet that gives it its name. Wooden decks step down through Mediterranean gardens toward the water, curtained daybeds and sun loungers set where the coastal path meets the rocks. From here you can watch the light change on the sea all day, or follow the camí de ronda footpath straight from the grounds along the coast.
The spa is a circuit built around water: a warm shower to begin, then a hammam steam bath and a Finnish sauna, an ice fountain and ice cave to cool the skin, therapeutic showers, a foot bath, and a room of heated hammocks under infrared warmth. At its heart is the spa pool, where cascades, water jets and a swan-neck spout work the shoulders. Facial and body treatments, massages and vegan rituals fill the rest of the day.

Asking the house for its rooms…
Everything was amazing. Fantastic experience. Private beach. Delicious food. Thanks everyone who made our stay unforgettable. We celebrated husband’s birthday and they did surprise.
Great location, great terrace, adults only so nice and quiet, great views, exceptional breakfast!! Would visit again!
Wonderful experience! Highly recommend
Lovely hotel faultless. Beware noisey building working going on next to left side of hotel - starting 730- 1900. It’s Ok if you can get a room on the right side of the hotel. Our room was ok 106 and the furthest...

The house lists these as things to do from here. Where a line is marked off-site it is not on the property — a dive site, a trail, a stable. That mark is ours, not theirs.
Salluna, the cocktail bar inside the house, has deep sofas built for staying put. The site itself calls it the place to end the day, and it sits just off the same staircase that leads up to the suites.
Breakfast is buffet-style and included in every stay. In the panoramic suites, have it delivered to the terrace instead — room service is on the amenities list, and each terrace opens straight onto the water.
The panoramic suites open directly onto the Camí de Ronda, the coastal path that strings together the small coves and lookout points along this stretch of the Costa Brava. Walk it before the pool gets any sun, then come back to the terrace and the pines below it.
The pines around the house are bent from years of the tramontana wind. When it picks up, the terrace empties toward the lounge, where there's a fireplace and a billiard room built for exactly that kind of evening.
