The road between Springfield and Lebanon, Kentucky, runs through open bluegrass before it reaches the porch of an 1871 manor house on seven acres, sky wide enough for the stars to show. Wildflower Ranch Inn is what's behind that porch, and HUSH read the house rules: it takes no guests under eighteen. It sits near the midpoint of the Bourbon Trail, less than twenty minutes from Maker's Mark, for anyone who wants a long weekend built around distillery roads and a pool to come back to.
Inside, the grand foyer is hung with paintings and photographs before you've set down a bag — Rich Brimer's prints, Carol Henry's photography, filling the halls of the old house room by room. Breakfast is cooked from scratch and carried into the Cafe Gallery: Eggs Benedict some mornings, a Blueberry Dutch Baby on others, built around whatever you tell them you need. Seven rooms only, which is why the 42-foot pool outside rarely has anyone else in it. Evenings tend toward the pool deck or the porch, bourbon poured, the pastureland going dark and the sky doing the rest. Rich and Carol, both working artists, run the place themselves.
Wildflower Ranch Inn sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 25 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

Asking the house for its rooms…
Rich and Carol was amazing host. They had the whisky glasses I asked for in the room. They carried our luggage and the breakfast was fantastic. They also talked with us a while and figured out our plans so they knew...
The owners are very nice and the property is gorgeous. We stayed in the giant sunflower room is was very clean and you don’t hear the other guests in the house. If we do the bourbon trail again we will defiantly stay again
The breakfast was amazing. We had eggs benedict which the mornay sauce was exceptional.
Rich and Carol were very kind and welcoming hosts. The room was beautiful and warm and welcoming, the pool was beautiful and clean, an excellent way to end a day of tour bourbon distilleries! Breakfast Was delish!

The house lists these as things to do from here. Where a line is marked off-site it is not on the property — a dive site, a trail, a stable. That mark is ours, not theirs.
Ask for the ground-floor Blackberry Suite: a king canopy bed facing the sunset, and a marble bathroom with a jacuzzi tub set under its own chandelier, apart from a separate multi-head steam shower. Robes are laid out for the walk between the two.
Breakfast is made from scratch and timed to your morning — Eggs Benedict, French toast, quiche, or a Blueberry Dutch Baby, whatever the kitchen decides that day. Add on a Bourbon Ball class if you want something to take home with you.
Toogie's Table, the farm-to-table kitchen at the Bardstown Motor Lodge, works with local farmers and distillers on a menu that changes with the season — about twenty minutes by car, open Wednesday through Sunday. Back at the ranch, the porch and a glass of bourbon are waiting.
Maker's Mark and the Bardstown distilleries are less than twenty minutes away, and the inn sits near the midpoint of the full Bourbon Trail if you want to string together more than one stop. Come back to the pool deck for what's left of the afternoon.
