H Eagle View Escape Rooms & prices

The road to Eagle View Escape runs two and a half hours out of Sydney, through the Blue Mountains and down into the hills above Lake Lyell. Tom, the Swiss man who once water-skied on that lake, bought 117 acres of the hillside above it and built the place by hand, a labour that took years before anyone stayed a single night. Twelve rooms, adults-only, spread across six styles of self-contained accommodation, kept for two people who want the hillside to themselves.

Each of the six room styles is self-contained, built so two people can close the door and see no one else for the weekend. There is no shared corridor, no dining room requiring conversation with strangers — just 117 acres of hillside above Lake Lyell, and whichever room you picked. Order a food hamper before you arrive and dinner is already decided; light the outdoor fireplace once the sun goes and the billiards room stays open for whoever would rather not go back inside yet. Tom cleared this land by hand, years before anyone else climbed it, and the house still runs on that same unhurried logic.

Eagle View Escape sets a minimum age of 18 in its own house rules, read on 25 August 2026. A house whose rule drops below eighteen, or stops naming an age, is taken off HUSH — how every house is checked.

Our tips

Order the food hamper ahead

Book one of the food hampers or romantic packages when you reserve the room, and it's waiting when you arrive — no drive out for supplies on the first night.

Fish the lake Tom skied across

Fishing is set up on site, on the same water Tom used to water-ski before he ever bought the hillside above it. Bring a rod and you don't have to leave the property at all.

The billiards room for a wet afternoon

If the weather turns, the games room and billiards table mean the day doesn't end early. Light the outdoor fireplace once it clears.
